El medio de poliéster se pliega alrededor de un núcleo de polipropileno para mayor resistencia y los extremos se sumergen en un plastisol de vinilo termoestable que fusiona los tres componentes formando una tapa de extremo y una junta unificadas.
Son resistentes a bacterias y productos químicos y proporcionan una gran capacidad de retención de suciedad para extender el tiempo entre cambios de cartucho.
